English Books & Tea
Two of my favourite things in this world: tea and books. That’s why I loved English Books & Tea. Tucked away on a quiet street in Cologne, this quaint and peaceful bookshop offers new and secondhand English books and your choice of tea from their selection: English breakfast, earl grey, lemongrass & ginger, peppermint, and fruity herbal blends. I spent a golden afternoon with Ania, my lovely friend and travel buddy, in this delightful, cozy shop - sitting, chatting and sipping peach herbal tea. If you're ever in Cologne, you must visit!

MOST delicious desserts
This November, my sister and I were fortunate enough to meet up with my wonderful cousins, Mariann and Márton, in Budapest. Márton took us on a magical nighttime walk through the Castle Hill on the Buda side, a spot that offers the most spectacular views of Pest and the Parliament building. After, we met up with Mariann, who took us to MOST! Bisztró, a ruin-pub near Oktogon Square with a great atmosphere, creative decor, and some of the best desserts I've ever had! Although I regret not trying the main dishes, which looked equally mouth-watering, I did try the killer chocolate brownie, and my sister, the apple crumble. Both served à la mode, these desserts were a meal in themselves. I was too involved with my brownie to take pictures, so I "borrowed" these from the bistro's facebook page. A must-visit for any sweet-tooth.

casa en terra
One of my favourite shopping discoveries, nestled between the Barcelona Museum of Contemporary art and the University of Barcelona, is the beautiful shop Home on Earth. Not only is this store designed with such care but the products sold are whimsical gems made from natural and pre-loved materials: wood, stone and clay jewellery, wicker lamps, iron teapots, felt creations, organic and fair trade chocolate, knitted baby clothes, canvas bags... I couldn't resist one of their handmade felt necklaces! The philosophy of the store, centered around careful living, reflects the feeling of the city itself. Barcelona really did feel like "home on earth."

new year, new beginning
Happy New Year dear friends! I can’t think of a better time to start a blog than the start of a new year. After having just returned from a four-month study exchange in the Netherlands, I would like to take the opportunity in this space to reflect on my experiences abroad and share with you some of my discoveries along the way. I hope you will enjoy reading it!
